Feta Cheese Burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tbs milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments for toppings (optional)

Instructions:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled feta cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, and milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Gently mix the ingredients until they are well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the burgers tough.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, ensuring they are evenly sized and have a uniform thickness.
  4. Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil it to prevent sticking.
  5. Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. You can adjust the cooking time based on whether you prefer your burgers medium-rare, medium, or well-done.
  6. While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned.
  7. Once the burgers are cooked to your liking, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a minute or two.
  8. Assemble the burgers by placing each patty inside a toasted bun. Add lettuce, tomato, onion, and your favorite condiments if desired.

Notes:

  • When cooking for babies or smaller hands, consider making smaller burgers. You can easily adjust the size of the patties to suit your preferences.
  • A handy tip for making uniformly sized patties is to use a measuring cup. Using a 1/4-cup measuring cup is a great way to ensure that the patties are a suitable size for small hands and that they cook evenly.
