Ingredients:
- 1 lb small potatoes
- 2 tbs olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Dice the potatoes into small cubes or finger-length strips, and wash them thoroughly with cold water. Transfer them to a bowl of ice water and let them sit for a few minutes. This helps remove excess starch and ensures crispiness when cooked.
- Drain the potatoes and pat them dry very well to remove excess moisture. If the potatoes are too moist, they will become soggy instead of crispy.
- Coat the potatoes in olive oil, garlic powder, and black pepper. You can add salt after removing the baby’s portion.
- Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap too much.
- Cook the potatoes at 400 °F for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
Notes:
- In this recipe, I completely omit salt during the cooking process and only add it afterward to taste.
