Ingredients:
- 1 slice of your favorite bread (multi-grain, sourdough, wheat, gluten-free, etc.), toasted
- 1 small ripe avocado
- 1 tsp of fresh lime juice
- ½ tsp of extra virgin olive oil (optional)
- A sprinkle of black pepper (optional)
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Begin by toasting your choice of bread until it reaches a golden brown.
- While the bread is toasting, take a small ripe avocado and scoop it out into a bowl.
- Add a teaspoon of fresh lime juice to the avocado.
- Mash the avocado and lime juice mixture together until it reaches a smooth and spreadable consistency.
- Once your toast is ready, generously spread the mashed avocado mixture on top, covering the entire surface of the bread.
- Drizzle olive oil over the avocado spread.
- Sprinkle a pinch of black pepper and salt on the avocado toast, adding a subtle kick of flavor.
Notes:
- For my baby, I completely omit salt for this recipe.
- Feel free to get creative and add your favorite toppings like cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, or a sprinkle of red pepper flakes for some extra zing.
