Total Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbs milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and condiments for toppings (optional)
Instructions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled feta cheese, egg, breadcrumbs, and milk. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Gently mix the ingredients until they are well combined. Be careful not to overmix, as this can make the burgers tough.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, ensuring they are evenly sized and have a uniform thickness.
- Preheat your grill or stovetop skillet over medium-high heat and lightly oil it to prevent sticking.
- Place the burger patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. You can adjust the cooking time based on whether you prefer your burgers medium-rare, medium, or well-done.
- While the burgers are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned.
- Once the burgers are cooked to your liking, remove them from the heat and let them rest for a minute or two.
- Assemble the burgers by placing each patty inside a toasted bun. Add lettuce, tomato, onion, and your favorite condiments if desired.
Notes:
- When cooking for babies or smaller hands, consider making smaller burgers. You can easily adjust the size of the patties to suit your preferences.
- A handy tip for making uniformly sized patties is to use a measuring cup. Using a 1/4-cup measuring cup is a great way to ensure that the patties are a suitable size for small hands and that they cook evenly.
