Ingredients:
- 1 can (5 oz) tuna, drained and flaked
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbs Dijon mustard
- 2 tbs finely chopped red onion
- 2 tbs finely chopped celery
- Pepper to taste
- 4 slices whole wheat bread
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, red onion, celery, and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Lay out the 4 slices of whole wheat bread on a clean surface.
- Divide the tuna mixture evenly between the two bread slices, spreading it out to cover the entire surface.
- Place the remaining two slices of bread on top to create sandwiches.
- Serve the tuna sandwiches immediately.
Notes:
- Feel free to customize the sandwich by adding other toppings such as lettuce, sliced avocado, pickles, or cheese.
- For an extra kick of flavor, you can sprinkle a bit of lemon juice over the tuna mixture before assembling the sandwiches.
- Cut into smaller pieces for baby to self feed.
