Servings: 4-6
Ingredients:
- 2 tbs oil
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 lb ground turkey breast
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
- ¼ tsp pepper
- ½ tsp oregano
Instructions:
- Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and minced garlic, stirring often, and cook for about 10 minutes until they begin to brown. Remove from heat.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, panko breadcrumbs, egg, pepper, oregano, and the sautéed onions and garlic. Mix well to incorporate all the ingredients. Shape the mixture into 4-6 patties.
- Coat the same nonstick skillet with cooking spray. Cook the turkey burger patties over medium heat for 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they turn brown and crispy. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until a meat thermometer registers 165 degrees Fahrenheit and the meat is no longer pink.
- Serve the turkey burger patties on a bun with your favorite burger toppings, or with a side dish.
